Managing Partner / Financial Advisor

In the workplace:

Matt began his career in the financial services industry in 2010 as a service representative at Transamerica. He quickly excelled in the role and was awarded multiple accolades, eventually becoming the first person in the company to transition from a service role to a financial wholesaler. In this role, Matt received comprehensive training in income planning and was responsible for educating advisors across various states on building spending strategies for their clients nearing and entering retirement.

In 2014, he realized that many advisors were focused on sales rather than providing true value to clients. This led him to leave Transamerica and move to Minnesota, where he joined forces with his father-in-law to form Grey Fox Financial Partners. Their goal was to align clients' money with their values and help them make the most of their accumulated assets by providing customized income planning strategies, allowing clients to live in the moment with confidence knowing that their finances are in good hands.

Matt is driven by his passion for helping people achieve financial peace of mind and live with confidence. He is constantly looking for ways to improve and has honed his process over many years, taking a quality over quantity approach to advising. To Matt, there is nothing more rewarding than forming personal connections with his clients and witnessing them reach their goals. This is where he finds the greatest fulfillment in his work.

Outside of work:

Outside of the office, Matt prioritizes spending quality time with his family. He and his wife have two daughters. They enjoy taking trips together, camping, and playing together as a family at home in Medina, MN.

When with friends, Matt enjoys downhill skiing out West or paddling in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

Life is short, and Matt knows it - he cherishes every moment with his loved ones and values the time he gets to spend with them.
