Raised by a financial planner and an accountant, financial services is in my blood. I now live in Minneapolis with my wife, Leah, our daughter, Collette, and our two dogs, Piper and Hank.What drives you?Everything I do is to help others gain confidence so they can work to succeed at whatever matters most to them. Some people need help taking the next step in their career, some need help growing their business, and some simply need to better understand their finances. Whatever it is, I love finding ways to help people.What do you enjoy doing outside of work?When I’m feeling social, I enjoy meeting new people. I’m the finance chair in a networking group focused on helping career-focused professionals develop their leadership skills. This is a perfect outlet for me to meet new people and help them grow.When I need to recharge, I love going off the grid either fishing somewhere, hunting, hiking, or skiing out west.What do you do well?I’m very analytical and detailed when it comes to financial planning. Every day I’m a family man to my wife, Dorothy, of thirty years and our four grown children. Some days I’m a mentor, a coach, or a teacher. Other days I’m an explorer, a historian, or a giver. I don’t know what hat I’ll be wearing when we meet, but I promise you it won’t be boring.What are your hobbies?I love traveling with my family or spending time up north at our cabin. I believe in personal fitness so I always stay active, preferably outside. To unwind, I enjoy working with my hands on remodeling or building things around our home. I’m also fascinated with family history and have been known to spend time researching genealogy records.Why do clients work with you?My practice has always been focused on the people I work with. I believe that to best serve my clients there needs to be a presence of trust, integrity, and respect. My clients know that with me as their advisor, these values will always be present.What do you enjoy most about your job?The most rewarding part of my job is being there during times of need. Sharing the experience of life’s ups and downs, and knowing that I helped prepare clients for these moments is a feeling that cannot be replaced. I love birds and am an avid watcher and feeder of birds. I am a life-long baseball fan...
